People have been hearing about 'One Day Fast' more often these days. Prime Minister Narendra Modi revived this trend by holding a day-long protest in April this year condemning the wash out of Parliament Budget Session. Within few days, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu launched day-long Dharma Porata Deekshas taking inspiration from PM. And now, Pawan Kalyan announced his day-long fast protest for the sake of Uddanam Kidney Victims.
Pawan Kalyan succeeded in bringing the Uddanam Kidney Issue to the notice of State Government and Centre. However, Not much is being done by the Rulers since then to resolve the issue completely.
Upon meeting Uddanam victims during his Porata Yatra, Pawan Kalyan set 48 hours deadline for AP Government to accept his demands. He now took the decision to sit on fast as the Government seems to be least bothered about his warning.
What will be the use of day long Fast? Can Pawan mount enough pressure on TDP Govt with such short-term protests? Jana Sena Chief could have achieved best results if he is willing to take up indefinite fast. That's the best way to make Rulers stand on their toes...isn't it?
