Pawan Kalyan Stages Protest Seeking Aid To Farmers

Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan on Saturday urged Andhra Pradesh government to extend immediate help to farmers in the stare who lost crops due to Cyclone Nivar. He demanded relief of ₹35,000 per acre and immediate relief of ₹10,000. He further gave a deadline of December 7 to the government otherwise his party will stage a state-wide hunger strike.

As there was no response from the Jagan Mohan Reddy government, Pawan Kalyan staged a protest at his home. The Janasena party has called for statewide protests against the lack of response from the government. Pawan said that the tears of the farmers were not good for the state.

The actor-turned-politician had earlier visited the cyclone-affected areas in the state to inspect the crops damaged due to the cyclone and to know the problems of the farmers. As per reports, some Janasena leaders in East Godavari district have protested opposite Tahsildar's office and took part in the relay Diksha.

The most affected districts where crops were lost due to Cyclone Nivar are West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor and Kadapa.
