Amid growing media reports of having a concept of One Nation, One Election', which deals with having a single election for state legislatives across the nation, Pawan Kalyan made sensational comments on Jamili elections.

Actor-turned-politician and Jana Sena boss Pawan Kalyan who is in Amaravati as part of his two-day tour in the region, said that Andhra Pradesh would have Jamili elections earlier than expected.

Addressing the party leaders, Pawan Kalyan said that he feels elections across the nation should be held at once, and going by the information he has, Andhra Pradesh is likely to have Jamili elections earlier than 2024.

These comments from the Jana Sena chief, Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP)'s ally in Andhra Pradesh gained significance.

Pawan Kalyan's comments on Jamili elections came in the wake of growing controversy over the much talked about Gram Panchayat elections in Andhra Pradesh.

The concept of simultaneous elections has been going on since the BJP led by Narendra Modi claimed victory in the elections and formed the government at Centre. It is also believed that BJP has been exploring all the legal routes for the concept.
