Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan staged a long march in Visakhapatnam to address the sand scarcity in AP. Pawan has alleged that the scarcity of sand is the main reason behind the deaths of 36 construction workers in the state.

'I demand the state government provide Rs 5 lakh each to the kin of the 36 workers that either committed suicide or died of a broken heart due to lack of work since the YSRCP government took over the reins of the state,' said Pawan addressing the public.

Pawan has also demanded the government should provide a compensation of Rs 50,000 to every construction workers who lost their livelihood. Pawan also blamed the Jagan government for not stopping the sand mafia in AP.

'YSRCP says that I am Naidu's adopted son. No, I am not, I am the adopted son of people of the state,' said Pawan.

'If Jagan functions properly, I don't have to come out and I could go back to make more movies,' he added.

Pawan Kalyan gave an ultimatum to Jagan that if they failed to provide sand to the construction workers in 15 days, he will hold another march in Amaravati.
