PayTM launched a new campaign to boost its revenues further. It began giving full-page ads featuring PM Narendra Modi and released a new TV Commercial.

The Ad 'Drama Bandh Karo' triggered a controversial now. In the footage, A House Owner was seen complaining about the long queues outside the banks after note ban. That's when Housemaid intervenes and says 'Drama Bandh Karo' before asking her to use PayTM.

People complained how could PayTM brand the plight of poor as drama. Hours later, PayTM released the trimmed version of the Ad by deleting the line 'Drama Bandh Karo'.

When Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal questioned if there is a deal between Modi and PayTM, The company's representative maintained the biggest beneficiary of demonetization is our country and its just a start-up which is trying to solve financial inclusion.
