A petrol bomb has been hurled at the theatre screening 'Baahubali' in Madhurai on Wednesday. Fortunately, There is no loss of life or property inspite of the explosion.
If the sources are to be believed, Activists of local outfit 'Puratchi Puligal' hurled the petrol bomb at the theatre to express their anguish over the way Dalit community was portrayed in 'Baahubali'.
Police Commissioner Shailesh Kumar Yadav informed 7 people were taken into custody in connection with the incident and investigation is going on.
'Baahubali' Tamil version performed exceptionally well, on par with the films of some of the top stars. Even though Dhanush's 'Maari' was recently last week, The epic action drama managed to attract large crowds to theaters in the 2nd week too.
