Former MLA Jayaprakash Adusimilli filed a public interest litigation in AP high court against the fram loan waiver poll sop of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governments.
In the petition, Jayaprakash mentioned only banks have got the right to waive off a loan and state governments have no jurisdiction over such matters. He seeked a stay on the waiver of loans as both AP and Telangana govt.'s have been working on it.
The farm loan waiver is likely to cost AP and Telangana Rs 54,000 crore and Rs 19,200 crore respectively.
On the other hand, The PIL is worrying the farmers more than the delay in the implementation of the scheme. AP and Telangana Governments willn't have any future if they fail to implement the promise by any chance.
