About 10 personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) got killed after a plane crashed near the Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport on Tuesday morning.
The air mishap happened when Super King plane was returning after identifying a technical snag just five minutes after the take-off. 10 people on board, including 3 BSF Officers & 7 Technicians, were killed due to the crash at 9.50 am.
Before the crash, The Technicians on board lost contact with the Ground Control. Aircraft first crashed into a wall and then fallen in the sewage treatment plant. Flames engulfed the plane soon after the crash took place and the bodies were burnt. In a incident, A laborer working near the wall sustained injuries.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Mahesh Sharma ordered for a probe into the mishap. The technicians in the plane were on their way to Ranchi to repair a helicopter.
