PM Modi Had A Phone Conversation with Joe Biden, Discussed Various Issues

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a phone conversation with US rnPresident-elect Joe Biden and congratulated him on his win in the polls.rn The duo discussed various issues, including the COVID-19 pandemic, rnclimate change.

PM Modi took to the microblogging site Twitter rnto announce the news of having a phone conversation. In his tweet, the rnPrime Minister said they reiterated their commitment to the Indo-US rnstrategic partnership.

"Spoke to US President-elect Joe Biden on rnphone to congratulate him. We reiterated our firm commitment to the rnIndo-US strategic partnership and discussed our shared priorities and rnconcerns - the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and cooperation in thern Indo-Pacific Region, "Modi's tweet read.

"I also conveyed warm rncongratulations for Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. Her success is arn matter of great pride and inspiration for members of the vibrant rnIndian-American community, who are a tremendous source of strength for rnIndo-US relations," he added.

Going by the information disclosed rnby Joe Biden's team, Biden has thanked Modi for his congratulatory rnmessage and said he wants to strengthen the US-India strategic rnpartnership. The duo had warm conservation.

Biden's team also rnadded that both Narendra Modi and Joe Biden recalled their earlier rninteractions when Modi visited the United States in 2016 for his first rnofficial visit.

Back in 2016, Joe Biden served as Vice Presidentrn of the United States, while Barack Obama was the President. Joe Biden rnhas hosted the official lunch in 2016 for PM Modi.
