Two custom-made B-777 planes, which will be used to fly President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi from July next year, will be operated by pilots of the Air Force. As of now, the responsibility of flying VVIP flights of the country is with pilots of Air India.

The two long-howl Boeing 777-300ER aircraft are being customized at Boeing's Dallas facility and are expected to arrive New Delhi on June 2020. Complete with missile defense systems that will make the aircraft secure as the Boeing 747-200B used by US President Donald Trump.

The Boeing 777 aircraft will also be the first Indian plane to be equipped with a special protective suit that can jam enemy radar frequencies, divert heat-seeking missiles and intercept advanced intermediate-range missile systems without intervention by the crew.
