Prime Minister Narendra Modi kickstarted his two day trip to Uttarakhand on Saturday by visiting the Kedarnath shrine. He spent half-an-hour offering prayers at the famous temple.
Kedarnath Shrine is located at 11,755 ft above the sea level. Tight security arrangement were made in view of PM Modi's visit.
Modi's visit to Kedarnath a day before the 7th Phase Lok Sabha Polls raised questions. Election Commission permitted the trip of Prime Minister to the temple town as its an official programme. Modi will review the ongoing Kedarnath Development Project during this trip.
Polling in 59 Lok Sabha Constituencies will be happening on May 19th. Even People of Varanasi, the constituency from which Modi is contesting, would vote Tomorrow.
