June 21 marks the sixth edition of the International Yoga Day. Given the spread of the pandemic, sadly, this time Yoga Day cannot be celebrated like earlier. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a video message to the countrymen for the Yoga Day.
This year International Yoga Day will have the theme of - "Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family."
PM Modi urged people to know the benefits of Yoga as Yoga puts full stop between the mind and body. He requested people to celebrate Yoga Day at their homes as a precautionary measure.
Modi even started a video blogging competition and invited citizens to take part in it and post videos of them doing Yoga. The Ministry of Ayush and the Indian Council of Cultural Relations joined hands for this contest which is named 'My Life, My Yoga'.
