Prime Minister Narendra Modi who addressed the nation for the 74th Independence Day urged the countrymen to use more of local goods and stressed Vocal for Local and ban the Chinese goods.
'The mindset of free India should be 'vocal for local'. We should appreciate our local products. If we don't do this then our products will not get the opportunity to do better and will not get encouraged,' Narendra Modi said.
Talking about local goods, Narendra Modi said earlier we used to import equipment like N-95 masks, PPE kits, and ventilators, but now India is manufacturing this equipment on its own.
Narendra Modi went on to say that, Aatmanirbhar Bharat is the need of the hour and the citizens of India should take a resolution to make 'vocal for local' the mantra of the nation."
