PM Modi visits centuries-old Kali Matha temple in Bangladesh prays for Covid free world
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to South Asian country Bangladesh. On Saturday, the second of his tour, the Prime Minister visited the famous Jeshoreshwari Kali temple and offered his prayers at the centuries-old temple.
The Centuries-old Kali Matha temple is a popular pilgrimage and devotees at the border visit the temple.
As per the protocol, Narendra Modi got a traditional welcome at the famous temple. He offered prayers to the presiding deity. In the pictures shared by the Ministry of External Affairs, Narendra Modi can be seen placing a Mukut on the Goddess.
After offering prayers to the Goddess, Narendra Modi said he prayed Goddess that the human race should be free from the Covid pandemic soon and called the opportunity to visit the shrine as good fortune.
Narendra Modi said that he had asked the Bangladesh government to allow them to build a community in the temple complex, which will serve the devotees visiting the holy shrine in several ways.
