ISRO lost contact with the Chandrayaan 2's Vikram lander when it came so close to the Moon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who reached Bengaluru on Friday night to witness the historic moment of Vikram lander's scheduled touch down, offered a warm hug to ISRO Chief K Sivan when he broke down after an emotional speech. This heart-breaking moment has gone viral and every Indian could connect with it emotionally.

This is what ISRO Chief said after the connect with Vikram lander was lost: 'Communication from the lander to ground station was lost. Data is being analysed'.

Addressing the ISRO Scientists, PM Modi said: 'Some setbacks may have slowed us but they never crushed our spirit. We have always bounced back to make spectacular things happen. I can proudly say that the effort was worth it. Don't lose hope...India is with you'.

Although ISRO lost contact with Vikram lander, The orbiter could still capture pictures of the Moon and forward them to the Space Agency for the next one year.
