HE Offered Supari On My Head: Modi

Update: 2017-12-09 16:47 GMT
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on Congress Party during the election campaigning in Bhabhar town of Banaskantha district in Gujarat. 'When BJP Leaders were helping the flood victims, Congress MLAs were relaxing in Bengaluru. While BJP is involving in relief work, Congress was busy with resort work,' he alleged.

Modi accused Congress Leader Mani Shankar Aiyar of offering supari to Pakistanis on his head. 'What does he mean by saying I should be removed from the way? What is the crime I committed?,' he questioned.

PM made it clear those Congress Leaders who didn't bother to help the people during floods cannot be expected to rule the state. He claimed Narmada Waters had come to Banaskantha district due to the efforts put in by ruling BJP.

Modi recalled how former PM Indira Gandhi covered her face with a handkerchief when she was in Morbi. He alleged only Congress was unhappy when the whole country was proud of Jawaan's surgical strikes. He said Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani was at the service of people when Cyclone Ockhi struck the state.

Congress Party suspended Mani Shankar Aiyar for addressing Modi as 'neech'. In reply, Modi said people of Gujarat will offer a befitting reply on December 18th when the counting begins.
