Covid-19 Vaccination: Poland Kick-Starts Vaccination, Nurse Received The First Dose

Amid Coronavirus fear across the globe, some countries have speeded up the process of vaccinating the public to battle the pandemic. One more nation joined the list of nations, vaccinating the public against Covid-19.

The European country Poland has started the vaccination program across the nation. Just like other nations, Poland is also giving first preference for the frontline warriors and health workers in the vaccination program.

Alicja Jakubowska, who works as a head nurse at the Interior Ministry hospital, a hospital dedicated to the  Covid-19 treatment received the first dose of Covid0-19 vaccine in Poland.

The drug regulator in Poland has given its nod for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine dose for the emergency use of the vaccine dose. Alicja Jakubowska has received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Sunday.

The authorities have picked dozens of hospitals across Poland to carry out the vaccination program. The doctors and other frontline warriors were also vaccinated on Sunday.

The first shipments of the Coronavirus vaccines reached Poland on Saturday, as part of the European Union plan which aims at rolling out the vaccines in the 27 countries.

On the other hand, the concerned authorities are also making the required arrangements to start a massive vaccination drive across the nation in January, next year.

In the mass vaccination drive, senior citizens, teachers, police officers and those who register themselves to take the vaccine dose will be given importance, reports claimed.
