The incident occurred in Pidimgoyyi area of Rajahmundry. The arrested TDP leader has been identified as Pinninti Venkata Ravisankar. Another person, identified as V Sankar was also arrested in this case.

When the Bommuru police went to the TDP leader's house, they found him with two women. One more person, who went to him for sexual favours, was also arrested.
