Police Case filed against Khushbu Sundar for allegedly violating election code!
The Kodambakkam Police shocked Actor-turned-politician, BJP candidate Khushbu Sundar by filing a case for allegedly violating the election code. She is contesting from the Thousand Lights constituency.
Going into details, Khushbu Sundar and her supporters visited a mosque on Friday and reportedly distributed pamphlets to the devotees there. She didn't seek permission from the election authorities to do so, reports claimed.
Citing this as an absolute violation of the model code of conduct, an officer of the additional flying squad moved the cops against the BJP leader for violating the poll code reportedly.
Based on the complaint of the on-duty officer, the Kodambakkam Police booked a case against the firebrand leader.
The Kodambakkam Police registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the BJP contestant from the Thousand Lights constituency and her supporters under sections 143 (Punishment for unlawful assembly) and 188 (Disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of the IPC.
