Uttarakhand Police Filing Cases On Juvenile Over Lockdown Rules

In what it could be shocker, Uttarakhand police has filed a case against 6-month-old and 2 year old for violating the home quarantine norms. The cops have filed cases against 51 for breaking the lockdown rules including the two kids.
 
The District Magistrate(DM) of Uttarkashi district found fault with the cops for filing a case against the juvenile and lashed out at the Uttarakhand police for doing so.

"FIR under Juveline Justice Act cannot be registered against those under 8 years of age. A probe will be conducted in the case," the District Magistrate (DM) of Uttarkashi said in this case.

The District Magistrate also sought the complete report of the case and said that the disciplinary actions will be taken on the COVID 19 magistrate for registering cases on the kids as cases should not be filed against the kids under the age of eight.

The toll of the positive cases of COVID 19 in Uttarakhand reached 48 with one fresh case of the novel coronavirus in the state. Out of the positive cases, 25 have managed to recover from the virus while no deaths were reported to date.
