Police register Mani death as unnatural

Popular Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Mani who is known for his villain roles in south indian films has passed away at a hospital in Kochi on Sunday. Mani had acted in over 200 films in Malayalam and other South Indian languages.

The actor's sudden death came as a shock for the film fraternity. Now as per reports police have been suspecting foul play in his death. As per reports the unexpected death of the actor have been caused by methyl alcohol consumption. The cause of his death is now investigated by Kochi City Police.

A senior official at the Cheranalloor police station confirmed that the hospital authorities had informed them on Sunday morning that the actor was admitted after vomiting blood. Police have decided to conduct an autopsy after reports have surfaced about presence of some chemicals in the actor's body. Autopsy is scheduled for 8 March 2016.

Mani, who hailed from an economically backward family and he started career as mimicry artist. He was known for inimitable mannerisms as comedy artiste.
