Poor sleep well, Rich buy sleeping pills: Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi compared his decision to scrap Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes to a 'Strong Tea' he used to make during his days as Chaiwala. He declares poor people were loving his 'Kadak Chai' but rich have been finding it bad in taste. 'After Demonetization, Poor were getting sound sleep, Rich have been running from pillar to post to buy sleeping pills,' he commented at the BJP's Parivartan Yatra in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh.

NaMo questioned, 'Are we not willing to face few hardships to teach a lesson to those cheating and looting the country?'.

Taking a dig at Main Opposition which has been criticizing demonetization, Modi said: 'You (Congress) issue statements but I feel the pulse of poor. Few parties are against demonetization. Earlier, They used to receive garland of notes. Now, they could just put them in waste baskets'.

Modi said Demonetization will affect very powerful people but he is prepared to fight for the poor.
