Posani Krishna Murali is known as a fire brand orator for his sharp wit and emotional comments. He belongs to a strong community but disowns any caste credentials. But he had to come out and expressed his dissatisfaction over Nandi committee selection of winners for years 2014, 2015 and 2016. Mainly he targetted Nara Lokesh, who commented that people from other state who doesn't even have voter ids and Aadhar cards from Andhra Pradesh are opposing a Government decision. Even Nara Chandrababu Naidu, threatened to withdraw awards permanently and Posani unleashed on them with razor sharp words.
Posani fired, "I hail from Film fraternity that doesn't belong to a caste, community or a religion. I stayed in Chennai before shifting to Hyderabad and even there I did not face such shallow thinking people. I am really ashamed with what Nara Lokesh said and to call him an IT Minister, I feel ashamed. I am happy that I get love and respect from Telangana people and Andhra Pradesh people too. I bow down to Telangana people because they don't have such shallow mindset as the Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu sir, Awards are a Government decision and not private property for people to act like they own them. You should be ashamed of people on your award panel and also, the way you spoke."
He disowned his Nandi Award and even targetted few other directors mainly Boyapati Srinu for his B.N. Reddy Award. He said, "People who make commercial and that to mediocre commercial movies are getting awards that have a stature. B.N Reddy is a guru for all Telugu Cinema makers and if such people receive awards on his name then it is a shame to the great Legend. I strongly condemn and just compare their movies with someone like Mutthyala Subbaiah, whose Kalikalam even made K. Viswanath shed tears. That is the kind of social responsible films we expect the awards for but not these mediocre commercial filmmakers."
He targetted mainly Boyapati Srinu, as he criticised him for being too selfish earlier too. He openly commented that from a community based award committee we cannot expect others to receive awards. He declined his award and demanded an IVRS to announce the awards and choose as he lost trust in humans. Well, the controversy is taking worst turn as we speak and this is too much to handle even for common public. What will the Government reaction to this outrage?
