The second T20 between India and Sri Lanka which was scheduled to be held on Tuesday as part of India's tour of Sri Lanka was postponed to Wednesday due to Covid impact.
The development took place after Krunal Pandya came in contact with Covid virus. The BCCI confirmed the same and said that the other players in Indian squad are taking Covid tests as a precautionary measure.
"Krunal Pandya tests positive.Second Sri Lanka-India T20I postponed to July 28.The entire contingent is undergoing RT-PCR tests today to ascertain any further outbreak in the squad," the BCCI tweeted.
The BCCI went on to say that before the second T20, the team members were tested and Krunal Pandya was detected with the virus. Eight players have been declared close contacts, the cricket board said.

The Shikhar Dhawan led Indian team had won the ODI series with 2-1, while the Men in Blue recorded a comfortable win in the first T20.
