Actor-Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan got support from the unlikeliest corners. BJP senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP GVL Narasimha Rao has strongly supported Pawan Kalyan's comments on the way the AP Government was adopting anti-film industry policy. GVL said that the way there was a multi-pronged attack on Pawan Kalyan smacks of despotism.
"Those in power should have the tolerance and the ability to take criticism. Such multi-pronged attack on any criticism would spell doom for the party. He said this attitude is egotistic and wrong," GVL said in a tweet on Tuesday. He said he strongly condemned the mindless comments of the YSRCP leaders. Instead of focussing on the verbal harangue, the government and the ruling party should focus on handling Cyclone Gulab, he quipped.
He also demanded an apology from Minister Perni Nani for needlessly criticising Prime Minster Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Seetharaman. He also wanted Chief Minister YS Jagan to admonish his minister for his 'mindless' talk. It may be recalled that Pawan Kalyan made stinging comments against YS Jagan Government for what he called the hounding of the Telugu film industry.
GVL said that both Jana Sena and the BJP will sit together to decide on the candidate for the Badvel byelections. He said that the two parties would sit together and discuss about the candidate and the campaign for Badvel bypoll.
