AP got VIP Status instead of Special Status

Update: 2016-09-12 06:00 GMT
Union HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar declared Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accorded VIP Status to Andhra Pradesh. He claimed NDA Government has sanctioned schemes, projects and institutions worth Rs 2.25 lakh crore in the past 2-and-a-half years.

Prakash Javdekar appealed people to be aware of the negative campaign against the Special Assistance Measure (SAM) announced by Centre. He went on to say Union Government is committed to the development of AP and hence treating it alike an VIP.

BJP Leaders were irked by the remarks of Jana Sena President describing the Package as rancid laddus. Pawan Kalyan exposed the double standards of Narendra Modi, Arun Jaitley and M Venkaiah Naidu during his recent interviews to News Channels. He ridiculed BJP Top Brass who demanded Special Status in 2014 for cheating the people after coming to power. As a result, BJP Leaders were coming out in open to make people believe they have done some much for AP so far and will fulfill all the promises in future.
