AP Presents Rs. 16,250 cr Agriculture Budget

With an ambitious plan to enhance food production in the state, agriculture minister Prathipati Pulla Rao on Thursday presented the separate agriculture budget. Prattipati submitted his third budget with a total outlay of Rs 16,250.58 crore.

Prattipati in his speech stated that horticulture sector contributed Rs 41,478 crore to the state's economy in 2015-16. The Minister stated that the AP Government aims at changing farming as profitable. The minister said that he feels lucky to present the Agriculture Budget on consecutive third time and thanked party chief Chandrababu for providing him with the opportunity. Prattipati Says state Government is committed to provide seven hours of free power supply to the agriculture sector.
