As many as 130 Private Hospitals in Telangana decided to stop services under Telangana Aarogyasri Health Care Trust (TAHCT) from May 2nd this year in protest against the State Government's approach towards paying long-pending dues to the tune of nearly Rs 300 crore. Even cashless Employee Health Scheme (EHS) provided for Government Employees will come to a halt.
Inspite of countless representations regarding the dues of over Rs 260 crore for performing 87,000 surgeries, Telangana Government didn't fulfill any of the assurances so far. Finally, Aarogyasri sub-committee in Telangana Private Hospitals & Nursing Homes Association (THANA) to the call to go for strike.
The decision of Private Hospitals will badly effect the BPL Families and Government Employees. Telangana Government need to address the issue at the earliest to save itself from people ire.
