Telugu Desam party has moved privilege motions in Andhra Pradesh Assembly. While one of them is against Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao, The other one is against YSR Congress Party Legislators.
Assembly proceedings on the 5th & last day of Monsoon Session were disrupted by YCP Members who demanded a clarification from Chandrababu Naidu over his involvement in Cash-for-Vote scam. Even though Speaker made it clear the matter was in the court, Opposition MLAs stayed firm on their stand.
Just before the House was adjourned sine die, Ruling Party MLA Nageswar Reddy moved privilege motion against KVP alleging he made objectional remarks and belittling the dignity of the House when former Chief Minister late YSR's portrait was removed from the Assembly lounge. He demanded action against YSR's soulmate.
Another TDP MLA Anitha moved privilege motion against YSRC MLAs for erecting YSR's photo in the Assembly lounge without seeking necessary permission. She sought an inquiry and action against those who violated the norms.
These Privilege Motions will be referred to the Privilege Committee to decide on the action to be initiated on the lawmakers if they have done something wrong.
