Priyanka Gandhi backs out of election tours, after doctors advice home-isolation
As a major setback to the Congress Party, the party's star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had canceled her tours in poll-bound states Assam, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala as she went into self-isolation.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's husband, Robert Vadra had tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Following this, the couple went into isolation. The Gandhi scion announced the same on social media.
Priyanka Gandhi took to Twitter to announce the news of observing home-isolation after her husband tested Covid-19 positive. She also apologised for not belong able to campaign for the candidates and wished them good luck in the polls.
In a tweet made in Hindi, the Gandhi scion said that she will be observing home isolation for a few days going by the doctor's advice and apologised for the candidates for whom she was supposed to campaign in the poll-bound states.
As per the campaign schedule, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was supposed to campaign for the Congress party candidates in Assam, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday respectively.
The top Congress leader also said that their children are also with them for the past few days and the other family members have tested negative for the novel Coronavirus.
