While extending support to the protest of Rajasthan Doctors for pay hike and promotions, Resident Doctors of AIIMS in New Delhi asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to live their life for a day to understand the work load and pressure on them.

In a letter addressing Prime Minister, The AIIMS Resident Doctors Association (RDA) said: 'Lucky to have an active PM like you...Now we request you to wear Apron for a day and spend a day as a Government Doctor to experience the immense pressure we face, the plight of the patients who didn't receive treatment and dying healthcare system due to lack of resources and infrastructure. Your one day experience could be a turning point for the healthcare system'.

All Rajasthan In-Service Doctors Association threatened to launch indefinite strike if the demands aren't accepted. Subsequently, Rajasthan Government invoked Rajasthan Essential Service Maintenance Act (RESMA) for 3 months. 86 Doctors were arrested since December 16th in the state. Rajasthan Government refused to fulfill the demands it accepted in the past and it led to anguish among the Doctors.
