PV Sindhu begins work as Deputy Collector

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu offered an appointment order to Olympic Silver Medallist PV Sindhu for the post of Group-1 Officer on July 27th this year recognizing her services as a badminton player. The 22-Year-Old will join the government services as Deputy Collector from Today.

Apparently, AP Government preferred PV Sindhu as Deputy Collector in the Revenue Department and attached her to Chief Commissioner Land Administration (CCLA). The Sportsperson will have to undergo a six months training to understand the responsibilities and powers she have while serving in the post.

Andhra Pradesh Government offered a reward of Rs 3 crore and 1,000 square yards plot in capital Amaravati to PV Sindhu after she won Olympic Silver Medal. It was then CM Chandrababu Naidu made an announcement that Group-1 Officer Position will be offered to PV Sindhu and she is free to choose the Post she wants.
