Pv Sindhu Faces Defeat In Semi-finals, Her First Defeat In Tokyo Olympics

Indian Shuttler PV Sindhu who displayed her prowess in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics was defeated by Chinese opponent Taipei's Tai Tzu-Ying in the Women’s Singles Semifinal.

Banking on the repeated mistakes of PV Sindhu, Tai Tzu-Ying had won both the sets with 21-18 and 21-12 respectively.This marks the first lose of PV Sindhu in Tokyo Olympics.

However, there is a good news to Indian fans, Sindhu can still get a bronze if she manages to win the match that will be held on Sunday.

As per the provisions, those who lose in the semis will be given a chance to fight for the bronze.

With this, Sindhu will lock horns with China's Hebingjiao on Sunday. The winning player will get a bronze. Considering Sindhu's play so far, she can win the bronze for India.

Looking at Sindhu's wins at the Tokyo Olympics, the star player forayed into the semis by defeating four opponents by a comfortable margin.
