Queen's Love Letter fetches 14,000 Pounds

Queen Elizabeth's 2-page letter explaining how she and Prince Philip fell in love with each other fetched a record sum in the bidding.

Actually, The so-called letter was penned by the Queen pin the year 1947 just months before her wedding. It brings to limelight how the couple met for the first time, Chase by a photographer when Queen was in Prince's Sports Car and Shaking their legs at nightclubs in London.

In the pre-auction, The letter was estimated to attract a bidding of 800 to 1,000 pounds. To everyone's surprise, Its been sold out for 14,000 pounds which is 18 times more than the estimates.

Elizabeth agreed to disclose her love story for Author Betty Shew's royal wedding souvenir book. She first met Prince Philip at the age of 13 and also spoke about his passion for swanky cars. They married in November 1947.
