Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley faced backlash for not admitting the cash crunch despite Banks and ATMs in the country aren't able to meet the demand. Claiming to have reviewed the situation, Mr.Jaitley said there is adequate currency in circulation and the temporary shortage is due to sudden increase of withdrawals in few areas.
Telangana IT Minister KTR claimed to have been hearing complaints about cash crunch in Hyderabad since the past few months. He advised RBI and Finance Ministry not to brush away an issue which is ruining people's faith in the banking system.
