Stampede at Godavari Pushkaram's turned as unexpected weapon for opposition parties to irk ruling TDP. Congress party chief Raghuveera reddy made some surprising comments and said that NTR statue installed at Pushkaram's led to stampede.
He said installing of NTR statue at the ghat meant for spiritual pursuits is wrong. He said this was an attempt by Chandrababu Naidu to cover up his shame of stabbing NTR in the back. It is known that a statue of late NTR was installed at Rajamundry ghat specially for Godavari Pueshkaralu.
Other side YSR Congress has said that the tragic incident was due to human error as the government has miserably failed in making adequate arrangements for the milling crowds.
