Arch-rivals Congress & TDP formed alliance for the upcoming Telangana Assembly Polls. What about their plans for Andhra Pradesh?
Few Senior TDP Leaders opposed alliance with Congress & they kept saying that tie-up will be only for Telangana Polls. Chandrababu Naidu mayn't take them into confidence at all as he knew TDP can't put up a strong fight in 2019 Elections without the support alliance partner.
On the other hand, Congress Leaders opposing alliance had already quit the party. Those who remained in the party are keen to have alliance with TDP so that they could get elected to the Assembly.
If the reports in media are to be believed, Rahul Gandhi left the decision whether to have alliance or not in AP to Chandrababu Naidu itself. He seems to have told Naidu, 'If the alliance benefits TDP, Then let's fight collectively. Or else, Better to contest without any alliance'.
