The former United States President Barack Obama, the first Black American President is bringing his memoir 'A Promised Land', in which he mentioned political leaders across the globe he met.

The leading American newspaper The New York Times has reviewed Barack Obama's memoir and spilled beans on what the former US President feels about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

Going by the review of the newspaper, Barack Obama called Rahul Gandhi nervous and a student who was eager to impress the teacher, but he lacked the aptitude or the passion to master the subject'

Barack Obama, who was in the President's office till January 20, 2017, has visited India in December 2017 which is his last visit to India. During the visit, Obama met Rahul Gandhi who was the then Vice President of the Congress party.

In the review, the Newspaper allegedly told that after having a talk with Rahul Gandhi, Barack Obama got to know about the leader and mention the same in his memoir.

Indian Economist-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the Congress tenure was also mentioned in the memoir. New York Times quoted Manmohan Singh as a leader with impassive integrity.

Unlike Donald Trump, Barack Obama maintained a cordial relationship with India, and the same relationships are expected from another Democratic party leader Joe Biden.
