Former Congress President, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi took a dig at Prime Minister over his interest in forming the government in Madhya Pradesh rather than looking at bringing down the prices of Petrol and Diesel following the crash of the oil price globally.

Rahul also accused Modi of being too busy with "destabilising an elected government".He took to Twitter to target Prime Minister on his alleged role in toppling the 15-month-old Kamal Nath government started with the resignation of Jyotiraditya Scindia and his 21 loyalists.

"Hey @PMOIndia, while you were busy destabilising an elected Congress Govt, you may have missed noticing the 35% crash in global oil prices," Rahul Gandhi tweeted this morning.

"Could you please pass on the benefit to Indians by slashing #petrol prices to under Rs 60 per litre? Will help boost the stalled economy," read Rahul's Tweet.

In Delhi and Mumbai, petrol was unchanged at Rs 70.29 per litre and Rs 75.99 per litre respectively, with effect from 6 am on March 11, data from Indian Oil Corporation. Similarly, diesel remained at Rs 63.01 per litre and Rs 65.97 per litre respectively.

Mr. Scindia was often regarded as a close aide of Gandhi's family and reportedly he is not happy with the leadership of the senior leaders of the party towards him. He was not given the chief ministership despite him contributing towards the Congress party.
