Congress top leader Rahul Gandhi is likely to visit Telangana next month. According to Congress affairs incharge for Telangana Manickam Tagore, Rahul will visit Telangana sometime between September 10  and 17. He is likely to address a Dalit Girijana Dandora rally. He said the venue would be decided soon.

Tagore was in Hyderabad on Thursday to take part in the review meeting on the Dalit, Girijan Dandora.  The Congress Party, which is buoyed up by the success of Indravelli and Raviryala rallies, is now planning to have the next Dandora in the undivided Medak district. Sources said Damodara Rajanarsimha has offered to hold the meeting in Medak. Interestingly, Sangareddy MLA Jagga Reddy did not want the meeting to be held in Gajwel, which is KCR's borough.

Interestingly, Manickam Tagore suggested that Rahul's programme should be held in Warangal, which is like the second capital of the state. He asked the leaders from Warangal to ensure that the programme would become a memorable and game changing event. He also talked to the leaders of Warangal separately. Tagore expressed confidence that the party would win more than 70 seats in 2023 and form the government.

Most of the senior Congressmen, including former PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, former leader of the opposition K Jana Reddy and MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy did not attend the review meeting. Tagore took a serious view of the opposition and directed the party leadership to issue notices to all the three leaders. He said indiscipline would not be tolerated in the Congress Party.
