There will be fireworks after Diwali for the Congress Party in Telangana. The much-touted Yatra of Rahul Gandhi will enter the state after Diwali and he will traverse Telangana for exactly a fortnight. The Congress Party leadership in Telangana is finalizing his route map. Sources say that Rahul will enter Telangana slightly ahead of schedule.
On Saturday, Rahul Gandhi's personal secretary Byju and Bharat Jodo yatra coordinator Sushant Mishra conducted a review meeting with the key leaders of the party to decide on the roadmap. Though Rahul Gandhi will enter Telangana via Makthal on October 23, he would have a break for two days on account of Diwali.
Later, his yatra will practically begin from October 26, which is post-Diwali. Leaders like Madhu Yashki, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and others are giving final touches to the programmes that would be organized during Rahul's visit.
However, one curious thing is that Rahul's yatra will happen at the same time when the campaign for Munugode bypoll will reach a feverish pitch. The polling would be on November 3. So, most of the key Congress leaders would be busy with Rahul Gandhi's tour and thus, Congress party's campaign in Munugode is likely to suffer heavily due to the yatra. Wonder how the top leadership of the Congress Party has not taken the bypoll into account.
