Update: 2015-11-04 03:45 GMT
Congress Leader Siricilla Rajaiah's daughter-in-law and three grandchildren were charred to death in a fire which broke out at his Warangal residence in the early hours of Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Daughter-in-Law Sarika and children Abhinav, Ayan and Sriyan. Preliminary report say, A gas cylinder leak could be the reason for the tragedy.

Apparently, Sarika attempted suicide in March 2014 and also filed a dowry harassment case against Rajaiah's family. She even staged a protest outside the residence of Rajaiah. Few days ago, Sarika appealed AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi not to offer Warangal party ticket to Rajaiah.

Rajaiah served as Warangal Lok Sabha MP till 2014. He, however, faced a defeat in the hands of TRS Candidate Kadiyum Srihari in 2014 Polls by a massive margin of nearly 4 lakh votes. As Vivek didn't show interest in contesting Warangal by-poll, Congress preferred Rajaiah again and he even filed his nomination. Post the tragedy, Rajaiah conveyed to Congress leadership that he can't contest election in current circumstances. Congress might nominate some other leader for Warangal by-election.
