Congress MLA Urges CM To Open Liquor Shops

Amid nationwide lockdown, all the liquor shops are indefinitely closed and it became very hard for the alcohol addicts to control themselves. In recent days, many people are reportedly committing suicide with a shortage of alcohol.

In the following suit, Congress MLA from Rajasthan Sangod, Bharat Singh Kundanpur has written to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot asking him to reopen the liquor shops in the state.

The Congress MLA claimed that alcohol could kill the coronavirus. He said in his letter that if coronavirus can be killed by washing hands with alcohol, then consuming alcohol can remove the virus from the throat.

He also stated about the revenue loss during the lockdown and urged the government to increase excise duty on liquor to cover the loss of revenue.
