Rajinikanth Fires On Tamil Nadu Government Over Liquor Sale

Update: 2020-05-10 09:25 GMT
While imposing the third phase of the lockdown, the central government permitted to reopen the liquor shops in the country. As per the relaxation given by the Central government, the state governments opened the liquor outlets which created chaos in the country.

In view of this, the  Madras High Court ordered to shut the shops in the state as they failed to follow the guidelines given by the court.

In the following suit, the state government moved the Supreme Court, seeking permission to resume the liquor business in the state.

On Sunday morning, Superstar Rajinikanth took to Twitter to warn the government over approaching the Supreme court to reopen the liquor shops.

"If the state reopens the liquor shops at this time, it must forget the dream of coming to power again. Please look for better ways to fill coffers," the 69-year-old actor said in a sharpy-worded attack.

However, there are mixed reactions for Rajini's tweet where some people support him, and others commented that he is playing a waiting game by knowing the mood of the public and play his role accordingly.
