Ahead of the much-anticipated Tamil Nadu Assembly polls 2021, Super Star Rajinikanth chaired a crucial meeting with the office-bearers of his Rajini Makkal Mandram party on Monday.
Thalaivar called for a closed-door meeting with the office bearers at the Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai managed by him and his wife Latha Rajnikanth after his fans urged him to rethink his decision on entering active politics.
After the crucial meeting, Rajinikanth spoke to the media. Talking about his decision to enter electoral politics, the Super Star said, he will announce his decision very soon.
His announcement raised many questions in the minds of his fans who are eagerly waiting for their idol's entry into politics. He announced coming to politics back in 2017.
Political observers believe that Rajinikanth is deliberately extending his entry to electoral politics as he doesn't want to spoil his name by contesting the Assembly elections. However, he earlier said, he will not be the CM.
Despite making a formal announcement on contesting all the 234 Assembly constituencies for the upcoming elections on the even of 2017 New Year, he kept on delaying his political entry. The same continued this time too.
His entry into Tamil Nadu politics gained significance as the 2021 Assembly elections will be conducted after the demise of two prominent faces Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi
Though reports claimed that Rajinikanth would make an announcement on his political entry in May, this year, he had to postpone his political activities due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
