The stand off between India and China took a violent turn with a Colonel and two soldiers losing their lives in a violent face off in the Galwan Valley along the disputed border.
The Indian Army issued a statement in this regard and maintained that both the armies faced casualties as a result.
This marks the first violent face off with casualties since 1975 when the Chinese Army has ensnared the Indian troops in Arunachal Pradesh.
Following this, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a review meeting with the Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat along with the chiefs of three services.
