The movie ticket prices issue which is related to the Tollywood film industry had turned into a political issue in Andhra Pradesh at once. The way the ticket prices regulation was brought ahead of Pawan Kalyan's film release did not go well with many. A few politicians have also condemned this and came out in support of Pawan Kalyan.
Rebel MP Raghu Ramakrishna Raju aka RRR, who never misses an opportunity to mock or attack the Andhra Pradesh government, used this issue to launch an attack. Talking to a media channel, Narasapuram Parliamentarian RRR had breathed fire on the ruling party.
Alleging that the government is targeting Pawan Kalyan as films are the only source of income for Janasena chief, RRR said that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is deliberately targeting the Tollywood industry and the officials are also after the industry.
The MP said that he had written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard listing out the atrocities the government has been doing for the film industry and how it leaves a heavy toll on the film workers and people who are dependent on the industry.
The rebel MP also found fault with the film industry going softly to fight against the movie ticket prices issue and asked the heroes to fight like real heroes like they do in films.
How you fight the bad guys in the films, the heroes should also fight the same way. If you cannot fight for yourself, then no one is gonna come for you. When your fellow actor is targeted, why are you guys not fighting against it? I wonder what happened you guys, RRR said.
Saying how the film industry was severely impacted by the Covid impact, RRR expressed his concerns with the government imposing rules to fix movie tickets for such a low price. How can the industry survive with these rates?
Talking about the controversial Go No 35, the government had fixed rates for the tickets for the theaters across the state and asked the theater management to follow the rules. The government also warned of strict action if they violated the rules.
