Rajya Sabha Election Results Estimates

Rajya Sabha Seats Polling started today(Friday).  Elections are being held for the 59 MP sets in the various states of India.  While some of the MP seats are unanimous.. polling is going in other places.  

Then what about the results? Which party will get how many seats? As per the present estimates, BJP strength in Rajya Sabha may increase from 58 to 69.  BJP will get the majority of the seats from UP.  Let us look at the state-wise results estimates

Uttar Pradesh
 
*BJP is going to win 8 seats.  Arun Jaitley.. Ashok Bajpaye.. Vijaypal Singh Tomar.. Sakaldeep Rajbhar.. Kantha Kardam.. Anil Jain.. Harnath Singh Yadav.. GVL Narasimha Rao are going to be elected from UP.

  *Jaya Bachchan is going to be elected from UP on behalf of Samajwadi Party
 
*Independent candidate Anil Agarwal may win with the support of BJP.  Even though Mayawati is contesting.. BSP MLA is saying that he didn't vote, independent candidate may win.

Kerala

  *LDF Candidate Veerendra Kumar lead by Communists..  Congress lead UDF candidate Babu Prasad are contesting and Veerendra Kumar may win the election.

West Bengal

  *Elections are being held for five seats and the ruling TMC will win four seats.  Nadeem ul Haq.. Subhasish Chakraborty.. Abeer Biswas..  Shantanu sen are the four TMC candidates.  Congress candidate may win another seat but they require TMC support.

Telangana

  *Polling is going on for three seats. J Santosh Kumar.. B. Lingaiah Yadav.. B Prakash Mudiraj are from TRS may win the seats.  Congress party is contesting in one seat.  It's a wonder if Balaram Naik wins the seat.
 
Jharkhand

  *Elections are going on for two setas.  BJP candidates Sameer Urnav.. Pradeep Kumar Santalia may win the seats.

Andhra Pradesh

  *Elections are held for three seats for AP.  Two TDP candidates CM Ramesh.. K Ravindra Kumar are contesting... V. Prabhakar Reddy is contesting on behalf of Opposition YSR Congress party.  Candidates elected unanimously as there is n contest.

Karnataka

  *Four seats in Karnataka.  Three Congress candidates, one BJP candidate may win.  L Hanumantaiah.. Naseer Hussain.. GC Chandrasekhar from Congress.. Rajeev Chandrasekhar from BJP may win  

Chattisgarh

  *BJP candidate Saroj Pandey is contesting for the only seat and he may win.

Madhya Pradesh

  *Elections are held for five seats and BJP is contesting in four seats. Tawer Chand Gehlot.. Dharmendra Pradhan.. Ajay Pratap Singh.. Kailash Soni are BJP candidates..  Maniraj Patel is contesting on behalf of Congress for the fifth seat.  The election is unanimous in the state.

Bihar

  *Elections are going on for six seats. Two from JD.. one from BJP.. 2 from RJD.. 1 from Congress are contesting.  Vasishta Narayan Singh, Mahendra Prasad from JD.. Ravi Shankar Prasad from BJP.. Manoj Jha.. Ashfaq Kareem from RJD.. Akhilesh Prasad Singh from Congress are contesting.

Gujarat

  *Elections are happening for four seats. Two candidates from BJP Purushottam Rupala. Mansukh Bhai Mandaviya are contesting.  Congress is contesting from the two other seats. Ami Yagnik, Naran Randhwa are from Congres are contesting.  The election is unanimous.

Haryana

  *Election is happening for one seat.  BJP candidate Retired LG DP Vatsa is contesting.  His election is unanimous.

Himachal Pradesh

  *Election for one seat Central minister BJP candidate JP Nadda is contesting. His election is unanimous

Maharashtra

  *Poll is going on for six seats.  Three BJP candidates Narayan Rane.. Prakash Jawadekar.. Muralidharan are contesting.  Congress candidate Kumar Ketkar is contesting. NCP candidate Vandana Chawan.. Shiv Sena candidate Anil Baloni.  Election is unanimous.

Odisha

  *Poll is going on for three seats.  BJP candidates Prashant Nanda.. Sowmya Ranjan Patnaik.. Achyuta Samantha are contesting. The election is unanimous.

Rajasthan


  *BJP candidates are contesting in all the three seats and their election is unanimous.
