The hate-filled tirade of Telagnana minister Prashanth Reddy has raked up an unseemly controversy in the Telugu states. Talking about the irrigation projects being built by the AP Government, the Telangana minister said the AP people were demons and that they never wish well of Telangana people.
The YSP leaders have taken strong objection to the choice of words. They also strongly criticised the minister for calling YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as a water thief and a dacoit. MLAs Roja, Srikanth Reddy and Ravindranath Reddy slammed these comments and said they were totally uncalled for. They pointed out that it was the Telangana which was constructing illegal projects.
Prashanth reddy has called YSR anti-Telangana as he has repeatedly objected to the formation of the Telangana state He said even when Sonia Gandhi was in favour of carving out Telangana, YSR had put spokes in the works and stalled the formation of the new state He said YS Jagan was resorting to water theft and should be termed one.
Though the AP government reacted mildly to the wild allegations, the YSRCP leaders did not take kindly to the whole issue They pointed out that the projects like Palamur and Dindi were not part of the Schedule X of the AP reorganisation act. Hence they should be deemed illegal projects, the YSRCP leaders contended.
