As per NDPS Act, Consumption of Drugs will be treated as crime. Which means, Even people suffering from drug addiction have committed a punishable offense.
In the recent statement issued by him, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao clearly mentioned Drug Addicts willn't be sentenced to prison. 'Drug Addicts won't be considered as Accused. Instead, We treat them as Victims. Selling of Drugs & having large quantity of Narcotic Substance in possession is a crime. Those people operating the Drug Mafia won't be spared,' he said.
Telangana CM told Film Celebs were questioned to get information about drug peddlers. 'In the investigation happened so far, Film Personalities were only consuming drugs but not selling them. So, They willn't be arrested,' clarifies KCR.
Ram Gopal Varma appreciated the clarification issued by Telangana CM. 'KCR is an awesome and fantastically beautiful leader for rightly understanding that the drug users are just nothing but victims which the team seemed to be seemingly blind about understanding and I think they need his extraordinary vision to be a right enough team,' he opined.
